Toddler Jiu-Jitsu
(Ages 3.5-5)
This fun and engaging martial art teaches essential skills like ground grappling and self-defense, helping little ones develop the confidence to protect themselves, even against bigger opponents. It’s the perfect way to build strength, coordination, and discipline from a young age!
Our Little Eagles program is designed to introduce toddlers to the mats through fun techniques, exercises, and games that focus on the core principles of Jiu-Jitsu.
Main Goals:
- Build Discipline and Focus
- Encourage Social Interaction & Communication Skills
- Develop Motor Skills, Coordination & Balance
- Introduce Self-Defense Basics
- Instill Confidence
- Foster Respect and Responsibility
Common Questions:
- It’s normal for toddlers to need a few tries before fully stepping onto the mats or staying for an entire class. Don’t worry—this is expected at this age! We create a friendly, welcoming environment to help them feel comfortable. Parents are welcome to approach the professors after class for feedback and to discuss a plan for their child’s progress.
- Everyone begins as a white belt. Progression for stripes is based on attendance, effort, progress on the mats, and technical development in Jiu-Jitsu. Our Black Belts are responsible for awarding stripes and belt promotions. Kids and parents should be patient and avoid asking for stripes or belts—these will come when the child is ready.
